Upcoming Speaking Engagements

Here’s a few of my upcoming speaking engagements.

Sunday, December 3rd: I will be preaching at University Baptist Church, located right across the street from FEU. I will be preaching at the 7:30 am and 10 am service. I’m still praying about my message. Most likely I will preach on Lessons from the Life of Joseph (the Old Testament Joseph). This is one of my favorite stories in the Bible and I love preaching on it.

Saturday, December 9th: True Love Waits at STI Recto

Sunday, December 10th:
I will be preaching at Convergence, our student congregation here in Manila (6th floor Joshua Center, Taft Ave, 2pm). I will finish up my series on Making Wise Decisions. I think the sermon title will be What is God Saying Through . . . ?

Come join us if you are free on either of these Sundays! Both of these churches are great, friendly places!

Hope you students will enjoy this long weekend break.

Reach the Youth

Yesterday (Thursday) I had the honor of speaking to the Luzon Convention of Southern Baptist Churches (LCSBC). Special thanks to Pastor June Apura (president) for allowing me to come and share. The hospitality I experienced was second to none.

Their theme was “Mobilizing Churches for Strategic Missions.” What a great theme!

My message included a challenge to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the youth of this nation and to prioritize youth ministry. Part of the message sounded something like this:

Do you want to see a missionary movement in the Philippines?
Reach the youth.
Do you want to see revival in the Philippines?
Reach the youth.
Do you want to see growing churches in this convention?
Reach the youth.

It is not just the Philippines that should heed this advice.
