Billy Graham’s Last Wish

I had the opportunity to preach again tonight.  It’s been about a month since we’ve had worship, and it was great to minister again.

Something was on my mind as I prepared for tonight’s message.  I watched this video a few days ago:

Pay close attention to Graham’s statement to his son:  “Franklin, I wish I could preach one more time.”

I believe this quote will stay with me for a while.  It says a lot about Billy Graham’s heart for evangelism.

But this last wish has a more personal application for me.  It’s reminder of just how quickly life passes by–a reminder that all ministries, including mine, will one day come to an end.  I’m inspired to preach my heart out while I still have time and strength.

Thanks, brother Billy.  Even your last wish has ministered to my soul.

As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.
-John 9:4
